Les Alizes takes these windfarm monopiles (each 103 m long and weighing 2300 tonnes) and embeds them in the North Sea – ready for the installation of a wind turbine. The crane can lift 5000 tonnes. You can see how big the ship is by looking at the three 103 metre piles lying crossways.
